A transition visit to Waterlea School

It was a lovely day for a walk to the school with the children who are transitioning to school to have a look at what school looks like. Some children who already have a sibling at school know about school but others find this visit very enlightening and enables them to understand what a class room is like and where things are at the school.
First up was a chat with Ms J so she could tell them where they were visiting today and what they would see.
And then it was off round the school including the playgrounds and the hall.

Thanks Ms J for a great tour. Then it was back to kindergarten to make a book about the mornings experiences. The book is a very helpful way for children to tell their parents/whanau about their visit and what was important for them.
