Last day of term and Matariki celebration

We decided to celebrate the last day of term and the rising of the Matariki stars today.
We thought that if our families were up early watching the rising Matariki stars they could probably stay in their warm Onesies or PJs and just come along to kindergarten - and they did.
Here we are waiting for the day to start!!
We made Maori bread - Rewena Paraoa - with a potato sourdough starter we had begun days earlier and then ate it with honey from our Ingrid's hives. It was just like the story "Brown bread and honey".
Then we had a movie, popcorn and icecream. It was a fun day.
