Watching the chainsaws and tractor in action

We had a job to do today for the farmer rangers - feed the chickens so we went off to do that and then heard the noise of chainsaws so wandered over to see what was happening. The farm rangers were cutting trees - our climbing trees in the dump paddock - but it seems there will be a new garden here, one that will be very interesting to butterflies and insects and so interesting to us too. It was great watching Caitlin on the tractor, she's expert at using the bucket. So we watched a while then went off to have morning tea and then on our way back to kindergarten checked out the trees that are waiting for us to plant next week. It will be a good job that ties in beautifully with our Enviroschools principles.
